Coaches

Paul Lamoureux is the founder of Ascend Hockey, an elite hockey skills instructor, and an Exercise Science graduate from Liberty University. Certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), Paul combines evidence-based training with years of high-level hockey experience to help players improve their skating, skills, confidence, and overall performance.

Paul has spent more than 14 years training through the Edmonton Oilers' development program and has worked with players of all ages and skill levels throughout Canada and the United States. His coaching philosophy is built on creating a positive, challenging environment where every athlete receives individualized instruction, honest feedback, and the tools needed to reach their full potential.

Paul is joined by his younger brothers, Roman and Jacob, who share the same passion for developing hockey players. Roman played collegiate hockey at Liberty University while earning a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning and a Master's degree in Exercise Science. Jacob brings valuable junior hockey experience from Ontario, giving players insight from high-level competitive hockey. Together, they lead Ascend Hockey's camps, clinics, private lessons, and elite All-Star teams, providing hands-on coaching and a personalized experience for every athlete.

At Ascend Hockey, the goal is to do more than teach hockey skills. The focus is on building confidence, developing strong character and work ethic, and helping players create lasting memories while reaching the next level in their hockey journey.
